This is an essential part of the Maratona d’Italia memorial Enzo Ferrari, the first sports fixture to have been paired with the National Lottery. In the 20 editions preceding 2008, it was twinned ten times: with the national lotteries in the years 1991, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and the European lotteries in 1993, 1995, 1996, 2001, 2003. The initiative is connected to the project run by Carpi Oncology Patients Association (OPA).
